You can now share your dashboard or custom templates with others on Google Analytics. If you think you’re GA layout is a great one, you can publish it and others can benefit from your analytics prowess. You can even include custom reports. Conversely, if you are a GA newbie or are simply looking for a better setup than you’ve already got, you can use another GA users template as long as they have provided a link to it. Once you have clicked on the link, you’ll have their dashboard but it will be populated with data associated with your site.
This is a great way to increase your understanding of the GA dashboard. With so many possible metrics to reference and so many possible ways to display that info, using an experts dashboard will help give you insight into which metrics are important and also show you how to create a clean, easy-to-use dashboard format. Once you become comfortable with that custom dashboard, you can then customize it yourself to fit your particular analytics needs.
